Becoming a member of the Maryland Correctional Administrators Association opens doors to a strong network of professionals dedicated to advancing Maryland’s correctional system. As a member, you’ll gain access to valuable resources, training opportunities, and a collaborative environment focused on enhancing public safety and supporting those working in corrections.

Register a Regular Member

Regular Membership is available to the organization and designees of county, state or private correctional facilities, as well as specific state agencies.

$250 annually

Register an Associate Member

Any person sponsored or recommended by a Regular Member of the association is eligible for Associate Membership.

$30 annually

Who Can Join?

Regular Members

This membership category includes Correctional Administrators, Wardens, and designated staff from Maryland’s 23 counties, as well as corrections professionals from local, state, and federal agencies. Regular members hold voting rights and help shape MCAA’s policies and initiatives. Agencies must submit representative names by October 1st or within 45 days of a vacancy.

Eligible State Agencies and Institutions

Our regular membership extends to a range of Maryland state agencies, each allowed voting members who contribute to the collective advancement of correctional practices across the state. Participating agencies include the Department of Public Safety, Division of Correction, Maryland Parole Commission, and other key institutions.

Associate Members

Individuals recommended by a Regular Member may join as Associate Members. While they do not have voting rights, Associate Members enjoy full access to MCAA’s resources, events, and professional development opportunities.

Lifetime Members

Upon retirement, Regular Members can be nominated for Lifetime Membership to honor their dedication and contributions to corrections. Lifetime Members are exempt from dues, receive special recognition, and retain voting rights, though they cannot hold elected office.
