The following information must be completed to renew or join MCAA under the Lifetime Membership.

Lifetime members are exempt from paying annual dues and have one (1) vote as outlined in in the Bylaws under Article V, Section III.

Any regular member, upon their retirement may be eligible for lifetime membership.  A lifetime membership recognizes and honors the contributions made to the association and the corrections profession by an individual over the span of a career.    Lifetime memberships are bestowed and conferred by a vote of the regular membership following appropriate nomination by a current regular member.

Lifetime Members are honored by recognition at the Annual Banquet Dinner and a guest paid by MCAA the year the Lifetime member is voted in; admission to Annual Conference (no meals) and inclusion in all general emails to membership.

NOTE:  Lifetime members cannot hold elected office, but may serve on committees.

Membership includes MCAA Talk which is an open forum email group and serves as a resource to collaborate with peers state-wide to share or obtain valuable information in the field of corrections and public safety (e.g. announcements, training opportunities, request for information).  NOTE:  By replying to an email communication from MCAA Talk, you will be responding to the entire membership who is part of MCAA Talk.  Individuals without an email address will not be included as part of MCAA Talk.
